My steering wheel creaks!

Hey all
anyone ever had an annoying creak coming from just underneath the steering wheel while it turns? Any ideas please?!

Ours does it too. I suspect its the "clock spring" behind the wheel that carries the airbag wirez.

Do you think its accessable with the steering wheel off, get some lube in there?

is a sealed unit mate, but i guess you could try.

Take the wheel off, and you'll be looking at a big plastic square thing (round on some cars), thats the clock spring. You can disconnect the airbag wiring from it and take it off the column and see if you can get some grease into it. its probably lubricated with white grease
