Heat really builds up under the ****( /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohmy.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif), specially if your trying to concentrate on a specific area. Excessive heat, combined with too much pressure can easily damage paintwork way beyond just more polishing. The pro's keep them moving .. I notice this after a rather abrasive expereince /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif
