Is ther a how to anywhere? I went to do the driver side one today but the driveshaft didnt want to come out the way. Do you need to take the driveshaft off the car alltogether?

Didn't JCB post up a thread with pictures within the last week or two?

jcb dropped the whole subframe though.

I think the problem is the outer CV doesnt have any "plunge", thats all controlled by the inner one, so theres no way to push the shaft away from the flange to get it clear.

there is if you unbolt the top arm bolt and pull it out.
it drops the lower wishbone as you do it and the whole thing comes away from the flange.
Its the easiest way to move the shaft without pulling the whole shaft out.
once it clears the flange lip there is a considerable drop where it will rest out the way

I did mine with the rear diff off completely which was obviously easier.
Actually just rebult the rear diff and got the subfrmae back on this afternoon by coincidence!

Thats what i thought about doing but couldnt be ***** in the end and i could do with some cv grease to put into the joint when its off.
