Coding change after fitting HID's?

Hi folks

Do I need to update the coding after fitting an aftermarket HID kit to my 2001 B5? I did a search but couldn't find any info specific to the B5.

Sorry, soft coding of the on-board computers, to tell it it has xenons fitted to prevent the bulb failure warning etc coming on

Not needed AFAIK, at least I didn't do anything when I fitted HID's to mine.....
Have never had any warnings from the DIS either.....
