how the hell do you adjust the power steering pump to take the slack out of the belt? its on an aeb :banghead:

You dont.

The main belt that runs from the engine has an automatic tensioner, and the tiny belt that runs the waterpump only goes on one way and is fixed.

The little belt always appears loose for some reason.

oh lol yeah its the little belt, suprised they dont squeal all the time, ***** idea, oh well least i know now lol thanks

I suspect that theres just not very much load on it. Its only driving the water pump which cant really draw too much power.

Whereas the Alternator or PAS pump can draw huge amounts of power from the belt and hence cause the squealing when its not tight.
