Oil level too high?

Hi, Just bought an 98 quattro 2.8 & very pleased with it. Just had it serviced and noticed when I checked the oil level that it was 4/5mm above the 'max' level. This check was done with warm engine. I have a dotted area on the dipstick (thats half way between min & max) where I assume the oil level should sit. Should I be concerned? I hear that its not good for the CAT. Your engine will burn off the difference in a few K, so dont worry about it. As long as its not stupidly high it will be fine....
