loved that episode of 5th gear where to see if any car can be made into a 'drivers car' they gave a lada riva to lotus, it just looked like a lotus sunbeam with a boot when they'd finished with it

I love cars that have been changed beyond all recognition mechanilcally.
would like it more if he hadn't tried to make it into the Batmobile.

My personal favourites are the:

Mk1 Golf with I5 Audi turbo lump and S2 running gear
Mk2 Golf with full S2 chassis and engine
Vauxhall Viva with 3.5l Rover V8
V8 rear engined Polo
