erratic tick over

My engine doesn't tick over very smoothly, with the rev's rising and falling by about 200 rpm.

Also under hard acceleration it miss's slightly.

Do you think a set of plugs/leads a distributor cap and new rotor arm would sort it.

The cars a 95 1.6 saloon with 85k on the clock
