Dip stick stuck

Just tried to check the oil and the dipstick got stuck managed to put it back but being fairly new to these cars not sure if there is a special way to remove them, also what oil do you guys recommend?

When I replace the dipstick on my 1.8 T as the last owner somehow damaged the last one, I end up using sanding the top of the dipstick with a bit of wet & dry to make it easier to remove.

I can't even remove my dip stick it seems to get stuck at the end its a v6 s4 engine if that helps

They are just a bit tight. Should come out easily enough given enough pressure.
