    Actuator fitment

    anybody know if i could fit this actuator to my 1.8tqs?

    also why did audi make it so hard to get to ffs? on my old calibra tubo would take 5 min to change/adjust!

    Yep, will bolt on no probs. It is however a turbo off job to fit and adjust properly. No point in cranking it either as the managment on the A4 is a gazzilion times cleverer than the Vaux

    Cally T has M2.7 Motronic, and uses a boost control valve just like the A4

    How come they can "crank" the wastegates on em?

    not sure what you mean by 'crank'. If the ecu saw too much boost it would just cut the boost. I miss the power in my old cally turbo, was eds phase 2 280bhp, never did get it on a rolling road though. I do not miss the ****e handling and weak transfer box!!

    I think they wind up the preload to enable it to hold more boost. If you remap it to say 20psi, the stock preload starts to struggle to keep the gate shut.

    Just the same as the Audi though, you need to keep the boost within limits set by the ECU, and it controls it with the N75 equivalent. Interestingly, the LET also has a switch on the tranny to detect first gear, and it limits the boost, to help control wheelspin in 1st!
