I have a facelift 2,8 Q and was wondering if its worth running this on the super unleaded fuels around?

I doubt it.

Take a look in the user handbook or perhaps even inside the filler cap. TQS and S4's say to use 98 octane fuel, the normal 1.8T just says 95 though.

If its not mapped for it, it wont help, and could even reduce your fuel economy and peak power.

the fuel filler flap is the easiest way to tell

itll say 95 or 98 ron

I had 97 30V A4 2.8Q and it did say 98

Yeah mine says 98 on the fuel filler door. I run mine on shell V-power when I can as when I fill up with normal unleaded it feels flatter and not as rev'y and the mpg goes down.

So works for me,

Sam

I can't find anything above 97 ron around here!?!?

I thought 98 and above was just a myth.. the stuff that dreams are made of.. lol

super unleaded used to be 98, then they changed it to 97, presumably by banning some of the additives.

My local tesco has 99, only filled up with it once, and realised it was completely pointless as dawn spent the next month burning it up driving to work and back in a 30 limit.
