If I purchase new rims which are 18"x8 what size tyres do I need to keep the same size rolling circumference as I have on my standard 2,8 Q which is on the factory 16" with 205/55/16
Thats a pic of his car. As you can see they're fitting reasonably tidy on there, but with a half inch wider rim, your going to have yourself some kerbfinders.
I have 235 on 8.5J rims and they are just right, could do with a bit more lip protection but it really depends on teh make of tyre.
Goodyear F1's had more lip than MichelinPS2's
I'm with Geeman!
Just put 215 40 18's on mine instead of 225's they have a bit of rim protection but rims need refurb at some point because of previous owner.
Just dont drive so close to kerbs (reads -don't let your missus drive it!!)
^^ pmsl. This is one bonus I've found since my missus ****** off. No more kerb damage to my alloys. Stupid bint managed to reverse into a hedge and chunk one of my 18's in one morning.
I have seen some TT wheels for sale which are 18x9 running on 245/40/18 would these fit or would that be too wide? I dont want it to rub and my cars on standard suspension. Also would that give an incorrect rolling circumference
