Hi i have a 2000 W audi a4 and it has done 80,000 miles i was just wondering at what milleage the cambelt needs changing (it hasn't been changed yet)

Thanks

i had mine done at 80k, not worth putting it off mate, audi charged me 175 quid, ouch

ok i'll get it changed, 175 shame! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Snoop, assuming you got the tensioner bits done, 175 quid is damn cheap. Audi or not!!!

mine's at the garage as we speak getting a quote, what do you think the damage will be?

mines being done today and tomorrow pick it up tomorrow evening, costing £200 ex vat (think its about £235 including) at a local audi specialist garage. not too bad i think, annoying but one of those things that can't be overlooked!

Very true mate. I'd much rather spend a couple of quid and take preventative measures than end up with 20 valves flying through the engine. The amount to put something like that right would be comparitavely huge.

Drew.
