Thought I would make people aware of this one as I had a wasted trip up there to see it after being told it was a great nick

Went to see this one in Wakefield

not in great condition at all

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/200952349031453

  • guys had clanged it over christmas hitting a low wall so front bumper hanging off, o/s light cracked, bif scuffs on the bumper - to be fair he said he would sort it but could not tell if the underneath was damaged
  • no service histroy whatsoever so could not verify the mileage - claimed it was a female owner and driver but had a boost gauge, stainless exhaust !
  • ABS light on - passenger side accoding to vag com
  • knock sensor fault code
  • engine speed exceeded fault code
  • mixture adaptation exceeded
  • Engine temp sensor fualt code
  • Airbacg igniter intermittant
  • Alarm trigger fault codes
  • REBUILT engine, looked a bit odd and quite a few pipes split or snapped, engine cover was different - this was only mentioned after I opened the bonnet!
  • engine was warm, guys had been using it as a personal car
  • trim missing on doors
  • ghetto stereo fitted
  • custom exhaust on it - sounded pretty loud
  • alloys in poor condition
  • no tailgate partition in the boot
  • price has fluctuated from £2k upto £3k now
  • probably remapped
  • forgot to add - oil dip stick was loose / did not fit and was not an audi one, totally mismatched for the car
Probably only good for a strip out, did not even bother to drive it

Nice one... well done for the heads-up.

Shame you wasted your time going to look at it though.

jesus! sounds like a cracker!
£3k!?! now that is taking the ****

good heads up

at least you didnt have to travel too far

how was the car described in the advert? makes me want to puke when i see ****ters like that advertised as "mint" etc

I can see why you went to see it though... certainly looks like a nice example in the pics!

He must have had those photos taken by a professional photographer!

Shame he could only make it after dark, must have a packed schedule.

Yeah... but for £3k, you'd hope it was at a good standard already!

price has gone up though!

making a cheeky offer might work, but it would have to factor in a proper engine sort out as well as all the cosmetics plus the usual things like suspension arms etc

main thing is there is no service histroy or book

just a V5 and a MOT!
