2.5 tdi poss fueling issue. help needed

Hi all

after a bit of advice please.

My audi A4 2.5 tdi b5 has developed a wee fault.

after accelorating and lifting of the gas instead of the car just slowing down gracfully as it should, the car seem to lurch whilst slowing down, it pulls great when accelorating.

ive also noticed that its started to soot a little under heavy accloration.

now im thinking it maybe over fueling a little and a sensor is giving up the ghost, couls this be possible or could it be something more.

any help would be superb,

Do a diagnostic scan first. I suspect a faulty coolant temp. sensor. Remove the engine cover and its next to the oil filter housing on the hard metal coolant pipe. If the colour is black replace imediately with the new revised green one. They are about 30 quid in dealers.
