Just thought i would say hi as i have just purchased a 1999 audi S4 avant with 129,000 miles full dealer history, dark blue (dont know the paint code yet), cream leather.
Could anybody point me in the direction of a good specialist garage in the worcestershire where i could get the audi checked out?
The S4 will be a weekend car for me to car transport my family around as i have diesel for work commute, but on comparison to a 99 impreza prodrive uk turbo running 270bhp and 268lbt which i have just sold i found the S4 to feel a little flat a first?
Would this be down to power to weight differences between the two, or also the fact that the audi is more refined and has a smooth linear power delivery with the twin turbo setup, or maybe a sensor down, lambda, etc?
Also is there an easy way to check for boost leaks, as replacing the turbos sounds like a big job
Also i have a slight grinding noise coming from the rear left wheel at low speeds which sounds like either a seized caliper or a worn pad, any history of caliper problems with these cars?
Also the cambelt was replaced at 60,000 miles so at 129,000 im assuming i need to do this?
Sorry for all the questions but just trying to learn more about these cracking machines
