Reprogramming Remote Key Fob!

hi guys,

gave my car in for a service recently to a local garage, and when i got it back the remote central locking key wasnt working......turns out the guy at the garage didnt replace the old battery for about a week after he took the flat one out and now it needs reprogramming......

problem is i only have the one key......is there any way of reprogramming the key fob so as to make the central locking work again????

rang audi and they want £60 to reprogram it.......any help would be appreciated!!!!

You can do it with vagcom if you only have one key.

Might be an idea to get an extra key for the car too?

should only need re-synchronising
press button on fob then use key in door barrel to lock or unlock
in theory it should start working again

where can i get a 'vagcom' from? and more to the point what is it?
