    Question Hooking CL Brain to Power Window system

    Hi again all.

    Just referring back to the alarm install discussed only a few days ago.

    I've got a wire that I want to run down to the front of the car from the alarm box that is for power windows. It is a positive 12v wire.

    I have noticed that when you close all the windows using the key from he outside of the car, that it works regardless of if the original audi CL pump is powered or not.

    Basically, I want to know two things;

    1. To get the power windows closing when I hold the lock button, do I have to run the wire into the drivers door where the main control is, or can I hook it in somewhere a little easier to get to?

    2. At the moment, I can only close all of my windows at the same time with the key. Is it possible to rig the install to allow it to open all the windows at the same time if I hold the key in the unlock position?

    Thanks.

    its possible, but i didnt do it on mine.

    The rclick "rollup" function activates EVERY time you lock the car, unlike the normal setup where it only activates if you hold the key.

    I decided that ramming all four windows into the door frame every time i locked the car was unacceptable, especially for such a marginally useful feature. Its not particularly difficult to simply close the windows before you park up and get out, especailly as the windows remain powered for a few minutes after ignition off.
