Simple timing belt question

In order to change the timing belt,tensioner & water pump on a non-turbo 1.8 96, does the front bumper have to be removed? or can it be done without

I live down south but have family up north,- my idea is to always to visit my mum and get work done whilst up there /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

want to get timing done before new bumper put on hence the post
