Head Gasket

How difficult is it to change, been doing my steering rack and noticed a coolant leak and small amount of oil as well. I had the head rebuilt a year ago and dont recon they put it back togther properly or with a new gasket.

Im going to get a mirror down there and get a better look but just wanted to know if its the worst case how difficult it it?

I'd say its a pretty major stripdown job...

Not particularly difficult if youve changed one before, and it having been off recently will help. Given you presumably have no other signs of HG failure, what makes you think this leak isnt something external?

I have had my hands round the back and the pipes etc feel dry. I also dont know of any pipes that live behind the engine down near the down pipe area. I know there is the one towards the top with the temp sensor in it.
