What colour does your 2.8 Exhaust Burn?

Alright folks...

My 2.8 Seems to burn horribly black - sooty black rather than oily... but black none the less. Was wodnering if you guys out there are running nice grey exhausts or if it is the nature of this motor/cat system to appear to run rich?
