Since no-one has a spare, where can I replace my rear diff?

you should email this guy and let him know that you just want the diff.
i want his subframe so if we can find someone who wants his rear uprights and brakes he has sold everything

Wrong - any B5-based 4.11:1 diff will be perfect. There's nothing special about the S4 unit, you'll just have to use your drive flanges if you use a 4.11:1 rear diff from a 2.4 / 2.6.

If you use an RS4 item, then no changes are required.
