Is it ever worth fitting a front Strut Brace to an A4 2,8 quattro ? Its a 2000 year model

Yer S4's came with them as standard, as did 1.8TQS's

Not sure if yours will, but if not you can buy some brackets from an A6 and use a redrilled S4 bar for not very much money.

Thanks, I can't see one fitted to my 2,8 quattro. Does any one have a photo of a strut brace for this car

Interesting... there's an A6 in my local breakers yard.

Might be a winter mod for mine then.

Mine is a pre-facelift S4 and i can't see one on my car !
Thats no to say mine has'ne been taken off in the past

as mark said should already be fitted to a 2.8 facelift and an s4, but you do have to look
both mine had them from factory

Thinking about it, i dont know if craigs S4 has one either.

I've had the battery out of that to clear the scuttle drains, and dont recall seeing it...

Olly: if it was there, you'd see the brackets, as they're part of the shell on A4/S4's that had it from the factory...

I wonder if its a facelift feature? They defo tweaked around with the suspension going to facelift, i wonder if this was one of the additions?

my tdi is pre facelift, should be fitted to all 98ish on v6 and quattro models

ye, vagcat says S4 and 6-cyl TDI for 1998 models.

I'll get craig to have a look, it is tucked out the way so maybe i just havent noticed it!

i didnt know i had it till i went to fit one!
id bought parts for my old 1.8t but sold car before i got around to fitting, so one day i went to fit them to the tdi only to find one already there

Silly me, i just check and i DO have one (99 S4) but it is very well hiden.

Not the best pic, but it's hiding in there
