Evening all, i've been told today that my central locking pump is not the right one for my car. Its one without a reciever so it cant pick up a signal from my keyfob which means i have to annoyingly use the key in the lock. Does anybody know how many different pumps there are? My part number ends in H, i've found one for sale with the part number ending in J. Will this be any good to me?

Well according to Tim at 'the phirm' its not the right one and he knows his stuff!! He's tried coding the key in the lock, buying a new battery for the fob and plugging in his laptop to my car. The part number on the pump does not match with my chassis number so it must be wrong?

you will need an 8L0 862 257 'G' and you will need to add an aerial as it didnt leave the factory with remote locking so range will be very poor
