chrome roof rails

is it possible to change the roof rails on an Avant to the chrome style ones...if so is it very difficult and what's the cost ??

I have seen the chrome ones going for 2-3 hundred quid on ebay etc. but one set went recently for only £30!!! I would think the hardest part of changing them would be getting at the fixings above the roof lining, could be tricky?
