Prop bearing needed ASAP!

My 99 2.5TDIQ prop needs a new bearing/rubber.
Can't seem to find any for the life of me, maybe I am looking in the wrong places?

Anyone know where I might find one?

Erm nope. You can't really get the bearing seperately mate. It's whole shaft. You may be able to get it refurbished but I'd be concerned with balancing etc.

Breakers yard friend, you'll haemorage if you ask Audi for one.

I already did ask Audi... £757!!!
But that's not all, there are not any in the UK and one might need to be fabricated in Germany.
Up to a 3 week turn around plus VAT Delivery etc... Madness!

Will the prop off a petrol go on my 6 speed manual?

I'm pretty new to Audi's so have been asking about for my exact part...

i think it needs to be from another 6 speed, so an S4 prop will work too.

Would I be right to assume only a B5 prop would fit?

So, any 6 speed B5 prop will do?

Ah... didn't think about that. The 2.5tdi being a 6sp. Sorry! Check out and register with www.vagcat.com That'll at least point you in the correct direction of p/n's and other vehicles with the same prop i.e. passat 4motions...
