vag com - ignition short to ground

Hi got an intermittent misfire, just pulled this code


17771 - Cylinder 3 Ignition Circuit: Short Circuit to Ground
P1363 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

any ideas?, could it be the plug? or the coil ?

sounds more like the ignition driver itself

Sits atop the airbox.

The ECU cant "see" the coils, so for it to notice a problem it must be the driver i recon.

there are two modules there, one for each bank, swap them over and see if the fault moves. That should help eliminate the ICM
