not getting anywhere with finding b5 facelift interior trim, just had a thought if i get the glovebox, centre console, drivers undertray to black to match the door cards.

anyone done this, will it still look like OE? otherwise i will have to hold out getting original parts in black.

any companies do this?

thanks in advance

years ago my bro used black "vinyl paint" on the dashboard of his nova and tbh it was indistingushable from a real black dash

He got it from halfords, but i dunno if you'd want the same stuff or just normal paint for the plastics on the A4 dash. The vinyl paint was good because it seemed to cover quickly without having to apply a really thick coat of paint, so all the texture etc came thru like normal.

hmm im wondering how good is this vinyl paint wont this come off if it gets scratched?

His held up pretty well tbh.
Think it chipped off one tiny 5mm square near the stereo after a while.

The nova dash is like foam backed vinyl over hardboard type stuff, so its kinda squishy, and the paint squished just fine.

Ye it was something like that, but halfords own brand i think. No idea how well it would work on plastic though, as i think it kinda "soaks in" to the surface a bit like a dye.
