Spring fitment the same for saloon/avant?

Hi, im looking at getting some lowering springs for my 1999 tdi avant, is there any difference in the springs for an avant compared to a saloon or are they exactly the same? Also did they change at all through the life of the B5 or were they the same throughout?

Something like a Eibach Pro-Kit will make a distinction between saloon and avant, as they weigh slightly different amounts, but the cheaper kits will not.

There was some change to the rear of FWD A4's around 1997, but i'm not sure if it affects the springs, or just the dampers.
