whats the code stamped on it and the compressor outlet look like (Alu bit)?

hey the code on the plate is just K04 then this serial:08016035

yea got it from ebay , the cars only for going to work and back so wasnt fussed... big mistake now, left with a nice paper weight.

any help is grateful
thanks

And that's all it will be, have heard a lot of people being sent the wrong turbo's and the ones that get the right ones just go bang very quickly.

I've also heard of success stories.

Theres a chap over on vauxsport that fitted an ebay special turbo to his C20LET and its been successfully producing big power figures:

"463 bhp @ 1.6 bar and 347 lb/ft
nod.gif
backed up with a
458 bhp @ 1.6 bar and 348 lb/ft
lmao.gif
straight after"

He also managed to blow the welds on his intake manifold, which is quite funny.

Dunno if i'd want to risk wrecking a good engine with one, but afaik thats nailed onto a stock bottom end, so i guess its less of a worry.

How much you paid for it ? Thats not a KO4 but a 90 Bhp passat/audi a4 1.9Tdi turbocharger for the 90Bhp engine by the looks of it !

totally wrong then.
worked out £180 shipped. the company said they will take it back , but they are state side so is going to cost £40 to send.

Dam,

And it true I have also heard of good story's with ebay turbos, from what I can understand some of the ebay turbos are not ballanced or the waste gate is not fitted correctly due to bad casting which can be fixed with a bit of Dremerling.

Was he Granny Shifting not double-clutching like he should?

I need NOS 'cos my car topped out at 140 this morning...

Vagnutter, good luck in getting it all sorted out

mostly because he has tried to weld two different sized pipes and has not got enough penetration or a decent cap weld on a bend that is stressed as it is....

now this is a blown inlet mani! (scroll down)

I was wondering the same. My engine code is BFB 1.8t what's the part number of the k04 turbo upgrade that I need to get. On seller asked my if I had a five bolt design which I have no clue of. Do I use five or three? Thanks!
