Oettinger HZ 18x8.5 vs 19x8

I've checked on these rims at several locations and i have noticed that the 18's can be wider than the 19's. If anyone has Oettinger rims id like to know how the 18's look compared to the 19's and whether the traction is much better on the 18x8.5's than the 19's. Obviously racing is going to display the difference but is it better to get the smaller rims with less money and wider or go for all looks and possibly rub.

First of all, the wheels aren't going to give you better traction.

The 18's will be a better choice for three reasons:
1. Cost is less.
2. Ride and performance is better balanced than the 19.
3. Rubbing issues are minimal - unless you are lowered.

If you are into the cosmetics, then you have a different priority. The three reasons above don't matter to those who buy wheels for their looks.
