budget poly engine mount

while i had the front off to do cambelt i thought id try something out

cheap poly snub mount using liquid urethane (sikaflex used for bonding windscreens, bodykits etc)

started out by cutting a backing plate from thin aluminium as mounts hollow

then put a layer of urethane and left it to harden for a bit

mounted to engine and put in a load more urethane

i decided to keep the original rubber mount as it was in good nick (just didnt do alot as it moved so much) and fill the space around it

left it overnight to go solid

result was better than the uprated mount i have on my tdi, alot less engine movement

a budget mod that works!
