U.S. spec boot lid

Seen a US spec bootlid on the 'bay and it's listed as an '01 model B5.

But... it looks like it's got the pre-facelift handle on it. What problems am I likely to encounter in fitting this to my facelift model? I might have to do some remedial 'cosmetic' work to remove the lower swage line at some point...

All US-spec B5 trunks are like that - they never got the facelift version, with the electronic release, and non-swaged upper and lower.

The width seems ok however the height U.S plate holder seems to wide, i prefer Drizz's style

i may be wrong but arent pre facelift neumatic operating locks and facelift electric operating?

Smooth the lock off and install a boot popper wired to the original switches, they're only like £20 from Venom or someone like that, would tidy it up a treat.
