Avant / saloon rear seats

Ive tried to seach on this but cant find a definate answer,what i want to know is will the rear seat from a 99(pre facelift) saloon with split folding fit a 98.5 avant fitted with split folding rear seat.The 98 car has the pin type catch (like a door catch) but im not sure about the 99 saloon.Also i seem to recall the side parts of the seats are different but will they still fit ??

All Saloons and pre 97ish avants have a u shaped mounting catch.

Post 97 avants have the pin type catch.

So no, they wont fit.

Maybe change or modify the catch? Just a couple of bolts the lat time I looked.

The catch is in a totlally different place, and afaik the mounting points for one isnt on the other.

I should be able to make some brackets up but what about the parts at the side of the seats are they different also ??
