Hiya all, My 98 A4 has always had wot i consider to be a clunky gearchange, so i thought i would climb underneath and change the 'box oil ( probably never been done). And blow me, it takes a wierd spline tool with a hole in the centre, where can i get one???.

I had thought of bodging it, then i remembered its an Audi, not my old Vauxhall, lol

Cheers /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif

Does it look like a standard 'Torx' type plug but with a raised pin in the middle?

They are usually included in what's called a 'security bit set' which are for tamper proof bolts and screws. Unfortunately I have never seen a set that includes one anywhere near 16mm!
