Hey man. Search the forums for all the related info but I'm guessing you've got quattro, probably with EDL. You need an 8E0614111A or 8E0614111E, (I think). The unit may ben repairable yourself, (again check the forum) but check out bba-reman they'll do you a fix for about 100. If it's unfixable they'll sort you out with a recon unit.
You got any fault codes or symptons?

hi iv'e checked the forum for related issue's as i was getting the big flashin exclamation mark and the abs light on. i found a repair for the abs ecu which i did and the wire was broken so repaired that and the big red light goes off and just flashes every now and again ive scanned with vag-com and it's sayin nsf wheel speed sensor just got to change that and re-check everything i thought the intermittant big red flash is still meaning the ecu is still dodgy !! yes iv'e got a 2.8 quattro 30v, what's edl ?? cheers for the reply dieselfitter

Potentially still your ecu but change the sensor. It's still the cheaper option. Good luck!

if it detects a faulty wheel sensor you'll get the big (!)

If its an ECU fault it usually brings the (!) up as soon as you start the car.
