failed mot

mine went in today and failed but its not all bad,

both headlights aimed too low and one brake disc pitted

not bad for 152k
i was expecting a lot worse

Discs and pads are a cheap fix and headlamps is a simple enough tweek.

Yup. hours work (even if) and a couple o pennies.... not bad at all for 150k!

yeah im pretty chuffed as i've only had the car a few months and i took it to a strick garage so i know it would of have a good going over too.

what's the best way to allign the lights without using any machines?
what is the correct hight for these?

there was a guide kicking around somewhere to calculate it.

The lights have a % on them (1.0 i think in the uk), you need to adjust them by driving right up to a wall, marking the centre of the projector on the wall, then reversing back say 10M, then adjust them such that the beam centre occurs at the distance you calculated below the centrepoint.
