what wheelfitment for my car?

i'm looking for a set of 18's probably rs4 's and it appears that there are different pcd's for the a4 iirc 5x100 for earlymodels and 5x112 for later?
correct?

what would be the bes offset ot go for as i also want to lower probably 40mm later so dont want any scrubbage.

all a4's are 5x112.

ET45 is stock with 7" rims, if you fit wider wheels than ~7.5" you'll need to drop the offset to stop them catching on the insides though. 18x8" with ET38 seems to be quite common.
