hi guys, in the next few weeks im hopefully going to be getting myself some new rims but i have a few questions: wot rims do you think would look best on my S4, i really like te B5 RS4 dtm rims, i like them alot but i also really like the B7 RS4 rims in anthracite which would go well with the nogaro paint job as they look the business on dougs 550bhp MRC S4. the BBS CH's in black are awesome but at £1500 without tyres they are a bit out my range unless i wait for them a bit longer, as for the size of the rims i would like to put 19's on but alot of people have said they jepordise the ride so would 18's be better?

ive also read that aftermarket wheels are soft and prone to warping easily if kerbed or running through potholes so how much would OEM wheels cost and is it worth getting second hand OEM wheels and getting them refurbed?

im stuck on which rims to get lads and i want to make the rite decision on this one so any ideas are welcome.

cheers

B7 in anthra imo! You want something with a nice contrast to supplement the nogaros charm

Bit of a big statement about aftermarket rims being soft. The two wheels I hear of buckling more than any are the OEM B5 RS4 rims and the genuine MTM Bimotos (19").

I ran MTM reps for 18 months with no problems. Currently got OEM B6 S4 wheels and I love them. You can pick up a set of those for as low as £300 these days.

Have you considered Gallardo reps? They look fantastic on the S4. Take a look at Ross's car over on SRS - http://audisrs.com/ftopic5086-0-asc-0.php
I'd photoshopped them for him in anthracite and in black too.

look what I found

a few people have mentioned wheels being soft so i thought id ask if it was true about aftermarket wheels so thanks for the feed back thunder. i like the MTM bimoto's, seen them on the RS4 supercharged they got and think they look real good. the Gallardo reps look good, i wouldnt go for them tbh but im open to all ideas, i think im straying towards BBS CH's but not 100% yet:unsure:

I like the B7 RS4 wheels that came with mine. They were all mullered so they're in the shop now being refurbed. I've asked for them to be painted graphite all over and then for the face to be milled or skimmed polished then lacquered.

I'll get a pic up Monday when I get them back.

nice one :arco: what will that cost? :photo:

CH's get my vote mate
Or the B7's, i have had these already and they look good on a B5 despite what people may tell you. Get the darker silver/gunmetal on these, looks mych less tacky IMHO
