having never owned a car with power steering i could do with some advice. 1) am i right in thinking the resevoir is the small tank to the front right of the engine bay, labeled "hydrolic fluid". 2) if so it says to use only mineral based hydrolic fluid, is all power steering fluid mineral based?. im at my girlfriends at the moment and have noticed that the (possible) power steering fluid is below minimum, we have some fluid here but it doesent state if its mineral based or not, will it matter?

it kind of "hums" when i lock the wheel, im guessing that a bad sign?

A slight change in pitch when turning the wheel lock-to-lock is normal, low fluid will cause more of a groan.

oh thats ok then, theres not groan as of yet xD, il have a look in halfords tommrow see if i can get some of that mineral oil, im going to devon next week so i cant risk a late delivery if i order online =/
