Has anyone fitted additional soundproofing to their A4? I know it should have loads, but wondered if sound deadening pads, linings under the spare wheel, etc, would make a difference, as there seems to be a lot of road noise.

Found the following link which looks interesting:

Anyone fitted extra? Was it worth it? I'm planning on replacing the carpet so it seemed an ideal time to do it if I decide to

I'm interested in your post, as mine suffers from a lot of road noise. What model do you have? Is it a Quattro? Does it have standard or Sport suspension? Also, what tyres are fitted?

hi

I've used 8 rolls of brown bread/dynamat type stuff (@1x0.6m) to do my A4 Avant

that includes the doorcards and inside of doors, rear wheel arches, boot floor and the tailgate

it makes a very noticeable difference to both road noise and to the quality of the speakers

mind you the foam liner on the door card did'nt help at all flapping in the wind

HTH
