I was thinking of buying a 1994 S4 that needed a little work. It was taken to the dealer by the current owner and they said the rear calipers, rotors and pads need replaced. I priced the calipers from the dealer at $850. this seems crazy. Is there any way to install the standard 100 series calipers which cost closer to $125 each. I am getting the car in good conditions - normal wear and tear - for $3000. Any suggestions. Also, the dealer said the driveshaft is making noise so it may need replaced or repacked???? Not sure what to do.
