dash problem

in my a4 the electric dash in the middle of the clocks is ok when you first turn it on after a while it fades and splits up the digits.
is this pricy???
also i have seen an ad on e-bay about a code to unlock displays like speed and rpm does this sound right? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh_roll.gif

is it the aircon one? dead easy. only works with climate control.

press recirculate and vent dash then scroll to 17 or 27 and press recirculate and it will display speed in kph or revs.

Dash display is a fault which is rather expensive to fix as you need a new speedo unit. unless it is under warranty i wouldn't bother

ill try it out, its a t reg so not under warranty.

send me a mail kevinandhazel@ntlworld.com so I remember. It is about 7 pages A4 when printed though a lot of the codes make no sense at all (e.g. heater motor voltage etc.)
