Damn Aircon

My ****** Aircon pump has siezed up !! After 116k of faultless operation, the last few miles were noisey until it siezed and stalled the engine. As long as i run on Econ, so the clutch is not engaged i still have heaters, so the Q is does anyone have a spare one????

TBH not loked too hard, i know an A3 1.8t one won't fit

I'm picking up a 2,3 V5 20V tomorrow, from a 2001 Passat. I believe the compressor is a 3-bolt mounting type, will see when I've got it here.

Thanks mate, mine is a 4 bolt, i know the A3 has a 3 bolt flange type design akin to an alternator

Picked up a '97 1,8 SE, aircon all works fine, and part number's are common to ADR and AEB.

I have an aircon pump bought second hand 6 months ago from a working A4 saloon 1.8se 1998 R(in a scrap yard)part number 8D0 260 805d made by zexel DCW 17D. Let me know if interested. Bought to replace mine but later found clutch had siezed.
