99 S4 wont connect to airbag controller?????

Hi all, Owned the car just ver a month now and still working through all the problems.my next issue is that i cannot connect to the airbag controller, i have changed it and tested another onewith an identical part numberfrom audi however i still cannot diagnose why i have an airbg light present.


Any ideas???

perhaps its your vagcom lead thats the problem?

I know some of them can be funny... Mine doesnt like connecting to the climate module in craigs S4 for instance.

Yeah i thought that to begin with but neither H8CAK in southampton nor Doug@mrc could connect to it during it health check

Which relay is it??

perhaps a wiring fault then?

Check the wiring diagrams and see if there is continuity between theappropriate pins on the airbag module and the diagnostic socket

Also might want to check that the airbag module is getting power, does it have a fuse?
