Don't know what sort of job they do though, I only got to the quotation stage and didn't take it any further. Prices were around the normal price per wheel (£50ish) IIRC.

Sorry can't be any more specific...

BTW, if you get a quote, use discount code JAN09 - you get 25% off the refurb costs. Only applies when having 4 or more wheels done though.

I've just got a quote from them - £253 for full refurb with an anthracite finish on 4 18" alloys including tyre removal, refitting and balance. £207 without the tyre removal bit.

£250 for four wheels is very expensive.
I paid less than that for a full powdercoating job.
should be less than £50 a wheel, regardless of pulling tyres off.

you could get four tyres pulled, wheels balanced and refitted at any tyre fitters for "tea and biscuits money" when they are not busy. had four tyres fitted.balanced for £10 cash at National Tyres. just drove in and asked

£50 per wheel is pricey still.

got a company in b'ham that do them for half the price. surely you can find someone cheaper in manchester.

£50 per wheel isn't expensive.

Much depends on the style and size of wheel, the more intricate, i.e more than 10 spokes, the pricier it is.

I use Spit and Polish, have used them for years, they collect and drop off free of charge too, which is handy.

As for half price (£25) I wouldn't entrust a BBS LM or RX2 split to anyone that charges less than £50 ish. I'm no wheel refurbisher, but I know what's involved in the process.

quite. I agree. I had four 15 spoke MIM's powdercoated for £200.
mint job.
£50 is about right by anyone who knows there stuff. ask to see some completed work before committing to it though. Anyone who doesn't have jobs in progress is doing it as a sideline and should be avoided.

I did my own just recently, have to say it took a while between coats but the result was pretty impressive if I say so myself.
cost me £50 minimum in materials alone
