Weak synchro on 2nd

Since having my car, I've noticed that 2nd gear can be very recalcitrant until I've done a couple of miles, then I assume the oil is warmer as it slides in more easily.

It hasn't got any worse though since Ive had it. Do I assume that's a common thing and one to live with? Alternatively, how easy is it to replace the synchro?

Its common mate, an oil change can make it a bit easier

i have the same problem with mine.

Running fresh synthetic gearbox oil will help.

As for replacing syncros, not an easy, DIY job, requires a complete tranny tear down.
