312mm brakes, parts list?

Depending on the wifes sense of humour on payday I was thinking I might get on with it. What exactly do I need?

312mm B6 discs (off what model)
Carriers (off what and where from as VAGParts have gone)
Anything else needed?

b6 S4 I believe are the following

2 x 345mm discs from B6 S4
2 x calipers from same vehicle.
1 lt of brake fluid.
1.5 m of braided line
Re useable brake fitting to suit.

you may need front caliper carriers, and the brake pad retaining spring - not too sure about this.

I was looking at doing the above but found a full set of RS4 brakes for less overall

b6 s4 calipers wont fit the B5 unless its an S4 or RS4 though

you want B6 A4 312mm disks, the bigger engined models had them like the 1.8T 190 and the 3.0's
you'll want new pads, just get standard b5 A4 ones though...
carriers either new from audi (expensive) or from a breakers

I spent a few weeks emailing people on ebay that were breaking TT's asking for the carriers and ended up getting a set for £50. The only issue is that some of the breakers are wise, and sell the calipers disks and pads together as an upgrade kit for golfs for ~£200, ive no idea why one would want to fit used disks and pads but there you go, means they wont sell the carriers alone.

Does anyone have the Audi Part number for the TT Carriers, I'm going to quiz my local dealer and see what they are offering them at.

Speak to Siena for a price, he'll be able to beat main dealers i would imagine.

Do you have to replace the pads? Mine are nearly new.

You really should replace the pads when fitting new disks.

I asked at the Stealers teh other day and was quoted £122 each for the carriers. VAG Parts were doing them at £98 for the pair iirc
