Odd place for a water leak

Hi folks, I opened the boot of my A4 today and removed the box with my jump leads in from the right hand cubby hole and they fell straight out of the bottom. On inspection the box was wet through, so I felt the carpet where the cubby is and its wet, any ideas, I wasnt aware of any leak issues around this area.

have a wee look round your tail light, mine was slighty out of place as was letting water in when rain was on

As above,
Check the tail light seals, the Sunroof drain pipe, boot lid seals.
Also, check if the rear screen bonding has failed. You can do this by gently pressing the rear screen from inside the car, if it moves take the car to Autoglass for re-bonding.

Happened to mine, caused the Central Locking pump to fail with water ingress.
