I have recently started to hear a slight like brake squeeling noise but its not when braking, when I lift the handbrake slightly and release again it stops?
Could this be due to the cold weather? maybe freezing slightly

It only sometimes makes the noise the brakes dont seem to be sticking as even on a very minor inclide it still rolls freely.

I hope its maybe due to the really really cold weather and nothing I have to get sorted.

Cheers in advance

could just be the calipers not retracting properly, good clean and regrease might help.
what do the pads and discs look like? old?

The pads and discs look pretty good the car has only had 2 owners me being the 2nd it has been serviced every 10k without fail sometimes less than 10k.

Many thanks.

check the little rubber boots on the slider pins, if they split moisture can get in and pins can seize, this happened to my avant, stripped brakes thinking id have to get a new caliper but found pin had seized solid in carrier, bit of a clean up and grease and it worked perfectly

Many thanks mate I will get the wheels off and have a look when the weather changes a little.
